A Golden Tiki Afternoon

After a brief visit to Las Vegas, I decided to explore one of the tiki bars situated off the main strip that had been recommended to me, known as The Golden Tiki. I called for an Uber and made my way to this tropical oasis.

Upon reaching the parking lot of my destination, I had doubts about whether I had arrived at the correct location. The tiki bar is discreetly located in a strip mall in the China town area of Las Vegas. I managed to locate the entrance and had my identification verified at the entrance. It's important to note that this tiki bar is exclusively for guests aged 21 and above.

When entering the central space of the tiki bar, you might notice similarities to Trader Sam's, albeit with a healthy serving of adult humor. If you are sensitive to profanity and suggestive jokes from animated characters, you may want to avoid this setting. However, if you are looking for an adult take on a Disney-inspired tropical oasis, then this location is ideal for you!

As I took a seat, I observed an interesting feature on the bar counters - video poker! The bartenders were well-informed about tiki cocktails and promptly served me tater tots and a jet pilot drink. Both the snacks and the drink were delicious. However, the highlight of the establishment was the animated birds reminiscent of an enchanted tiki room, which delighted us with their amusing and surprising comments.

After taking in the atmosphere and admiring the unique decor throughout the Golden Tiki, I decided to explore the details at the back of the establishment before leaving. To my surprise, I discovered realistic fake skulls in the bathroom. It's not something you come across every day!

If you find yourself in Las Vegas, I recommended to make a stop at the Golden Tiki. Keep in mind that walking there can be challenging, so using Uber is advisable. The location is not far from Area 15. The Golden Tiki tends to get crowded in the evenings. Additionally, it's worth noting that this tiki bar operates 24 hours, meaning if you can't get in at one point, you have the entire day to try again!
