Within the last day, visitors to Cedar Point park and coaster enthusiasts may have observed a notable alteration taking place at the front entrance Marquee of Cedar Point. What exactly was this alteration, you wonder? The logo on the front entrance marquee had vanished!
Was there a magician's trick mishap at the Charles M. Shultz theater? Were survey markers being set up in the vicinity to verify the extension and alteration of the gatekeepers layout, which would now include a splashdown into Lake Erie? Alternatively, has the merger between Six Flags and Cedar Fair resulted in Six Flags replacing the Cedar Point Logo with the updated name of Six Flags Lake Erie Shores and Islands?
Well.....None of these wild conspiracy theories are true. A spokesperson for Cedar Point has verified that the sign is being updated to a refreshed 3D appearance, and there are no plans to change the park's actual name. The old logo actually features the wavy font that was used in the 2010s and earlier.
Although I have a nostalgic fondness for the old logo from the early 2000s with its playful and flowing design, I am intrigued to discover the appearance of the updated marquee sign once it is completed.
