Johnny Noodle King: Detroit's King of Noodles!

In an unexpected location in Detroit's Corktown, there's a magical ramen spot called Johnny Noodle King. A friend and I were in Detroit for the Annual Auto Rama Show at Huntington Place Downtown, and we wanted to find a unique place that was distinctively Detroit. For many years, my cousin had told me that the best noodles could be found at a small noodle shop in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.

Upon arriving at the noodle place, you'll notice there's not much around it, with much of the area being quite empty. They offer parking in front and a small lot in the back. For a Sunday, the restaurant was quite busy. Inside, it resembled the noodle places I had visited during my travels in Japan.

We were seated, and the atmosphere was lively, with upbeat Japanese music that perfectly complemented the noodle slurping. We ordered pork bao buns that were fantastic! The menu features a variety of ramen dishes, many of which are quite experimental in a good way. For the less adventurous, they offer "Dorm Room" noodles, ideal for those who prefer simpler options.

I ordered the chicken ramen, which had the most flavorful broth I've ever tasted. Nothing in Japan compared to the depth of flavor in this ramen. Overall, this is a must-visit spot for ramen enthusiasts or anyone seeking a unique dining experience only found in Detroit.

That's all for now. Enjoy a few pictures below and be sure to check this place out!
