Kings Dominions 2025 Project

New for 2025, Kings Dominion is rumored to add a thrilling new rollercoaster to its lineup - a launched wing coaster in the Jungle X Area . This coaster would be similar to Holiday Worlds Thunderbird attraction, where riders are seated on either side of the track, with a launch system that propels the train forward at high speeds. The result is an exhilarating experience that offers a unique perspective and intense thrills for riders.

The exact location of the wing coaster would stand where the former roller coaster once stood. Below are a couple photos I was able to get from my previous visit.

While the Original Volcano rollercoaster was an interesting concept with the inverted launch coaster blasting out the top of a volcano, this new attractions current footer layout and the rumors going around could prove to be what Kings Dominion needs to compete with Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
