Max's South Seas Hide-Away Adventure

Due to the cold weather, I opted to visit Max's South Seas Hideaway, a tiki bar situated in Grand Rapids, MI.

We made a reservation for the earliest available time, which happened to be on a Friday, and we were promptly seated. Whether you enjoy Disney's enchanted tiki room or simply appreciate the ambiance of a tropical getaway with excellent tiki cocktails, this is the perfect spot for you! The walls and ceilings are decorated with shelves displaying tiki mugs, tiki masks, and subtle references to Disneyland. Additionally, the tiki bar offers seating across two floors!

Featuring a wide selection of Hawaiian and tropical-inspired dishes, the menu also offers an extensive variety of tiki drinks and mocktails for non-alcoholic preferences. We tried a sampler dish showcasing some of their popular items, along with the rum barrel drink which packed a flavorful punch of rum.

Overall, the tiki bar is a great place to visit if you are in the vicinity. When it comes to attractions, it certainly rivals Trader Sam's at Disney World's Polynesian Village Resort.

As always, enjoy the pictures below and keep Coast'n'

The Outside of Max's South Sea's Hide-Away. You will never guess what's inside!

A variety of tiki mugs line the walls from various places. You can also get locally created tiki mugs near the host stand for sale!

Unique tiki masks are displayed throughout the tiki bar.

This was the Rum Barrel drink I had gotten. The Drink definitely packed a punch

For tiki and retro decor fanatics, this place is a gem.
